An illustrated talk by Karn Kowshik
Platform: Zoom Meet
Dream Wanderlust is thrilled to present the chronicles of Karn Kowshik - an Alpinist, Adventure Columnist and Documentarist, and a Mountain Guide from the foothills of Kumaon Himalayas.
Besides getting his columns published by the Alpinist, The Outdoor Journal, and The Himalayan Journal, Karn has also showcased his work as a documentarist at the Piti Dharr Ice Climbing Festival, held in Kaza, Spiti.
In the second installment of our Lecture Series, we bring you Karn, to spiel his narrative on the collective journey of the Indian climbing fraternity while he discourses on the age-old question - "What is the problem with Indian Mountaineering?"
An ardent believer of low-impact exploration, this ice-climbing frontrunner holds an interest that lies in the impact of climate change on glacial environment. With a strong intention of establishing new routes on unclimbed Himalayan peaks, he wishes to bring ice-climbing to the locals; thus forming an Indian ice-climbing community.
It is our great pleasure to hear you Karn ji! Thank you so much Dream Wanderlust And Karn!
