Receding snow reveals body at Lamkhaga Pass. Police suspect it to be of last year's tragic expedtion. Recovery by ITBP underway.

The body of a suspected trekker was found near Lamkhaga Pass.  ASI Kinnaur informed Dream Wanderlust that it might be  of one of the two trekkers missing from last years ill-fated trek group.

ITBP has sent a team to recover the  body. Identification will be done at Kinnaur Police Station, H.P.

It is to be recalled that nine persons of a trek team had perished at Lamkhaga Pass during October 2021. Seven of them had been recovered by the ITBP and IAF. 
However, Sukhen Majhi from West Bengal and Gyan Chand from Uttarakhand could not be  traced. 
Police suspect that the recently found body could be one of them.
