Annapurna: At least 23 summits, One missing during descent, Taiwanese woman sets record

At least 23 climbers summited Annapurna-1 (8,091m) yesterday during the first summit bid. The rope fixing team, which includes Gelje Sherpa, Pasang Nurbu Sherpa and Dawa Sherpaha established the route all the way to the summit at around 11:10am local time.
An Italian alpinist, Giamppaolo Corona who summited Mt Annapurna on Thursday, in alpine style, without any Sherpa support or the use of supplemental oxygen, has gone out of contact near Camp IV. He is supported by the Seven Summit Treks. Thanswar Sherpa of Seven Summit Trek has informed Dream Wanderlust this morning, “yes, the climber was last seen near Camp IV during his descent from the summit. His fellow climber saw him last at around 7600m, from where we lost contact with him. The search and rescue operation has been started."
At least six women climbers including Nepali climbers scaled Annapurna-1 the world's 10th highest peak yesterday. Tseng Ko-Erh (a.k.a Grace Tseng) from Taiwan summited Mt Annapurna without using supplemental oxygen and became the youngest female in the world to do so at the age of 29.
According to Dawa Sherpa's post on social media, Hans Wenzl, Tim Bogdanov and Giamppaolo Corona have made it to the summit without using supplemental oxygen.
Climbers from 8K Expeditions also summited yesterday morning. Summiters were Kristin Harila (Norway), Kasturi Deepak Savekar (India), and Baibanou Bouchra (Morocco), supported by Nepali climbers Dawa Ongju Sherpa, Pasdawa Sherpa, Lakpa Thendu Sherpa, Halung Dorchi Sherpa, and Lakpa Nurbu Sherpa.
