Arjun Vajpai on his way to summit Kangchenjunga without supplemental oxygen

Arjun Vajpai (24), a mountaineer from India is on his way to summit Kangchenjunga (8586m), the third highest peak in the world without sherpa help or supplemental oxygen. He has already scaled five 8000 peaks. "We are currently at the advanced Base Camp of Kangchenjunga. Its been our third night up here. 4th day looks good. We are well acclimatised. We are at an altitude of 5400m. We will be having our puja tomorrow and mostly after that we start climbing towards Camp-1. Lot of uncertain information about the route how the route is open or not, where is it open. We are staying put. We will be climbing with two more Dutch boys from Holland along with Alex d'Emilia from Italy.", reports Arjun from the advanced Kangchenjunga Base Camp.
