With a pledge of making our Ganga clean, “Sab ka saath, Ganga saaf”, Atulya Ganga team started its historic Mundaman Parikrama on 16th December 2020 from Prayagraj.
The team is walking along the bank of Ganga and interacting with localites about cleanliness of the river. Atulya Ganga is organizing public meetings at villages to create mass awareness about river pollution. Another team of Atulya Ganga is dedicatedly working on Pollution Index Mapping. They are geo tagging the sources of pollution in the river and measuring pollution in mid-stream. Local people are enthusiastically taking part in measuring pollution by becoming ‘Protector’ of Ganga. Tree plantation program is also being held every day and saplings are being distributed among people to combat carbon footprint. In Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, the team received enormous support from NCC. Cadets participated in relay walking with great gusto.
