A team of Sherpas, led by Mingma Gyalje Sherpa (Popularly known as Mingma G), with 10 foreign climbers reached the summit of the Dhaulagiri (8,167m) on 9th April, 2022 at around 10:30am. The team started their summit bid from camp-3 (7,300m) on the evening of 8th April. A strong team of 12 Sherpas fixed the rope all the way to the summit and at least 22 climbers from Imagine Nepal made it to the summit. As Dawa Sherpa informed, at least 10 foreign climbers summited the mountain. Summiters are:

As per the Ministry of Tourism, Govt of Nepal, a total of 21 foreign climbers have registered their names to climb Dhaulagiri this year.
Renowned Spanish Climber Carols Soria (83) also attempted Dhaulagiri this time for his 13th Eight- thousander summit.
Beside Dhaulagiri, on Mount Annapurna rope fixing beyond Camp-2 is underway. A total of 26 foreign climbers to attempt the summit this year. Sherpa team has planned to reach the summit by the 2nd week of April.
A total of 373 foreign climbers have registered their names for different eight-thousanders in Nepal as of 8th April 2022. Climbers are acclimatizing at different camps on the mountain they want to climb.
