Kami Rita Sherpa  (52) has made history by climbing #Everest 26 times. On 7th May 2022, he summited Everest at around 18:55 with the route opening team after fixing up ropes all the way to the summit. He was the leader of the route opening team.  Thus, he broke his previous record of holding the most number of ascents of Everest by any individual.
Kami Rita ascended Everest first at the age of 24. He has climbed other eight-thousanders also, including K2, Cho Oyu, Manaslu, and Lhotse.
Apa Sherpa (62) and Phurba Tashi Sherpa (51) have summited Everest 21 times.

"I would like to clarify that I am not doing this for a record. I am doing this for climbers who come to Nepal with big dreams and spend their life-savings into making their dream come true, getting them 100% success is my job. Every country knows how beautiful Nepal is. My success will develop our tourism industry as well," Kami Rita Sherpa said earlier in an exclusive interview with Dream Wanderlust after his 25th ascent of Everest.
