Khimloga Pass: The body of Sujoy Dalui retrieved from crevasse, recovery process underway

The Body of Sujoy Dalui who died during Khimloga Pass expedition was initially traced by the ITBP rescue team. However, it was difficult to recover the body which had fallen into a glacier crevasse.
Dream Wanderlust talks to State Disaster Management Authority, Himachal Pradesh on the progress of body recovery today.
SEOC Kinnaur says, "According to the information received from Deputy Commandant ITBP 2nd Bn Kullu (Nagasti Post), a team of 28 people had left for the spot yesterday for the rescue operation, which includes 10 Army Dogra Scouts, 6 ITBP 2nd Bn Kullu and 12 Porters."
After a few hours, the Emergency team representative Mr. Bhardwaj says, "The body of the trekker has been retrieved from the crevasse by the team of Dogra Scouts and ITBP. It will take two days to bring the body to Sangla"
DEOC Kinnaur has informed that the three trekkers from West Bengal and 6 local porters got stuck near Khimloga Pass District Kinnaur on September 3, 2022. The injured trekkers have been taken to the Nagasaki post on September 6, 2022, and 6 porters are in good health.
