A women's team from Bengal reached the top of an unnamed and unclimbed peak (6304m [30°55'N 79°10'E]) in Garhwal Himalayas on 6th September, 2017 at around 9:37 am. The peak is located at the north side of Chaturangi Glacier and to the opposite of Vasuki Parbat. They had a plan to summit an unnamed peak [30°55'N, 79°13'E] but abandoned their plan due to the presence of crevasses. They approached the peak from the south side and reached the summit, climbing via the north face of the peak. The leader Mahua Biswas says, "Eight climbers from our team with two Sherpas made it to the summit. However, the peak we had planned initially was not approachable to us due to the condition of the crevasses."
A brief timeline of the expedition:
29th Aug: Team reached Bhujbasa.
30th Aug: Team reached Nadanban via Gomukh.
31st Aug: Team reached Vasuki Tal and set up a Base Camp over there.
1st and 2nd September: They stayed at the Base Camp due to bad weather.
3rd September: performed load ferry to Camp-1 (5300m).
4th September: Reached Camp-1.
5th September: Reached Summit Camp (5800m).
6th September: Team left for summit push at 2:15am and reached the summit (6304m) at around 9:37am.
